Artist's Comments

This is a portrait I did of my friend Nirrimi [link] back in 2007. It was I think the second portrait I've done in my art studies. You can find the reference here [link]

Paper: A3 heavyweight backing, 150gsm
Pencils: 2b, 5b

-
At the time of taking this photo I was still learning how to photograph art work properly, or more advanced to what I was doing. So the lighting hasn't got much appearance to it and the shading seems limited. Like most artwork, the photo doesn't do the original justice.

Thanks. :D
My recent work has improved from that, it's very blarg and I'm not really fond of it anymore - just wanted to submit something lol.
:icondraconisnecromancer:
True, doesn't hurt to submit old things. Can't wait to see the new art work you've done.

I like this and I understand what your talking about with photographing or scanning pencil work. It usually just doesn't work. But good job :D

Hey,
Thank you so much :)
Yeah I know, it's kind of pathetic, specially with technology these days you think it would work better..
:iconpopothepenguin:
Np. I just had to take up charcoal drawing to take care of technology problems.
